The Federal Board of Intermediate &Secondary Education (FBISE) Islamabad established under FBISE ACT 1975, is an autonomous body of Ministry of “Federal Education and Professional Training”. It is empowered with administrative and financial authority to organize, regulate, develop and control Intermediate and Secondary Education in general and conduct examinations in the institutions affiliated with it.

Title: Studying, Monitoring and Evaluation of the Institution affiliated with FBISE through data collection from institutions, development of database, data entry of more than 1000 institutions & data analysis based on core areas
Project Detail: The project focused on the development of standards for schools affiliated with FBISE on which they will evaluate and monitored, hence bringing them in line with international principles. Over 1000 schools affiliated with FBISE were assessed on a framework that would eventually constituted e-SIFT (Electronic School Inspection Framework Toolkit) so that a baseline assessment for further improvements can be achieved. e-SIFT was designed indigenously by NEEF. The project involved conducting surveys and collecting data from the schools that are affiliated with the board, through online database management, establishing a ranking and eventually providing all institutes within the project a feedback and working on improving the standards for the development of an effective and consistent learning environment in schools.
The Punjab Education Foundation was established under the Punjab Education Foundation Act of 1991 as an autonomous statutory body to encourage and promote education on non-commercial/ non-profit basis. Since then, it has come a long way to arrange free quality education for the deserving children at their doorsteps.

Project Detail:
The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa manages over 23,000 centers with more than 4 million candidates enrolled for the project. NEEF undertook the Assessment of 325,000 candidates across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in a single day. NEEF team marked 325,000 paper through in-house electronic marking software, in addition to conducting the examination.
Project 2 Title: Data Entry and Data Analysis of 28,000 Assessment Booklets of Students and Teacher of Schools in KPK (Year 2018)
Project Detail: NEEF completed data entry and analysis services for three assessments studies;

EDUCATION FUND FOR SINDH
Details
Established in 2012, EFS – Education Fund for Sindh is a not-for-profit company (a company set up under section 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984), that aims to tackle the education crisis in Pakistan. They currently focus on enabling access to education for out of school children to begin or complete their primary school education.

Development of Early Grade Assessment System 2015-16
NEEF has developed an integrated electronic assessment system for the Education Fund for Sindh. The assignment entails the development of a comprehensive Early Grade Assessment system that the organization can use to assess the academic progress of sponsored students studying in partner schools. NEEF team developed early grade assessment item bank with the help of extensive research using different approaches including but not limited to item response theory, bloom’s taxonomy, Hess Cognitive Rigor Matrix and Norman Webb DOK schema.
PTCL is the leading telecommunication company in Pakistan. The corporation provides telephonic and Internet services nationwide and is the backbone for the country’s telecommunication infrastructure. The corporation manages and operates around 2000 telephone exchanges across the country, providing the largest fixed-line network. The PTCL R&D fund that later became National ICT R&D Fund was meant to carry a mandate of ICT research and human development in Pakistan.

The program was aimed at ICT capacity building through engaging students from marginalized communities. NEEF team, in collaboration with their partner university helpedtrain 3500 students, 100 heads of educational institutes and 250 teachers. Project Detail: Foundation Training Program was an assessment of 7000 candidates from across Pakistan which aimed to create Optimal Critical Mass in ICT and awareness about ICT education, technologies and opportunities available in the industry.

Project Detail: Teachers Training Program was the training of around 600 teachers from across Pakistan. The program’s objectives were to provide trainings to teachers on the subject of the intricacies of scholastic aptitude tests in the domain of ICT covering Intermediate. curricula including English, Mathematics and Physic, to conduct customized TNA and to ensure the transparency, accuracy and effectiveness of the TOT methodology.
MoIT is the national focal Ministry and enabling arm of the Government of Pakistan for planning, coordinating and directing efforts to initiate and launch Information Technology and Telecommunications programs and projects aimed at economic development of the country.

Project Detail: NEEF team was responsible for the development of framework; Legal, financial and administrative structure; Operational Manual and Rules, in collaboration with MIMOS Berhad Malaysia and local partners NUCES and Aqlaal. NEEF helped conduct a national level awareness campaign and training of the R&D Fund Team in addition to creating the comprehensive framework. NEEF also work on aligning USF and National ICT R&D frameworks.

The National ICT R&D fund was established in January 2007 by Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Pakistan. The purpose behind the establishment of this R&D Fund was to support research and development projects proposed by industry and academia. This R&D fund has contributed in the form of a certain percentage of gross revenue generated by all telecom service providers in Pakistan.

PSEB is an apex Government body mandated to promote Pakistan’s IT Industry in local and international markets. PSEB facilitates the IT industry through a series of projects and programs in infrastructure development, human capital development, company capability development, international marketing, strategy and research, and the promotion of innovation and technologies.
Project Title:National IT Human Resource Assessment Study 2005
Project Detail:
NEEF conducted the IT Study Program for Pakistan Software Export Board in the year 2005. The program was a joint effort of NEEF and it’s partner university as a step to achieve improvement in quality of software industry in Pakistan. NEEF team assessed the need for Human Resource specializing in IT in the country, a massive project that paid great dividends in terms of refining the National Policy with regards to IT and Human Resource Development.

Project Detail:
The Competitive Grants Program (CGP) was the largest capacity development project for policy analysis established by the Pakistan Strategy Support Program. NEEF team along with IFPRI was initiated a building block for the new Framework for Growth established by the Planning Commission of Pakistan in 2011 and implemented in the country with the help of International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
